Kericho woman arrested with bhang worth Sh1.5mPolice in Kericho are holding a 26-year-old woman after she was caught with Sh1.5 million worth of bhang in Nyagacho Estate on the outskirts of Kericho town. Kericho East Sub County Police Commander Peter Mutuma confirmed the incident, saying the woman was arrested following a tip-off from members of the public. Mutuma said the suspect was in possession of cannabis that had been packaged in different forms ready for the market. Police also recovered 24 empty gunny bags, which they suspect may have contained another batch of the narcotics that had already been sold to unknown buyers. Mutuma said the suspect was taken into custody and remanded at Nyagacho Police Station to await court appearance after the Christmas holidays on Wednesday, December 27.
