Dishonourable members: MCAs brawl in two county assembliesHouse business in Laikipia and Kisii county assemblies were paralysed after Members of County Assembly (MCAs) disrupted proceedings with violent protests. In Laikipia County Assembly a section of MCAs disrupted the speaker as he attempted to announce changes in the leadership of the House. Both MCAs were elected on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket. MCA Stephen Nderitu of Thingithu ward accused the speaker of trying to micromanage the assembly by also trying to replace some committee chairpersons. Meanwhile, at the Kisii County Assembly, MCAs exchanged blows after the Ichuni Ward MCA moved a motion to impeach Deputy Governor Robert Monda.
