Taipei, Feb. 26 (CNA) An association aimed at enhancing the relationship between National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) and its Ethiopian alumni was established at Bahir Dar University (BDU) on Sunday. The aim behind Taiwan Tech Alumni Association of Ethiopia is to promote the image of the school to Ethiopian students, according to NTUST. NTUST has recruited Ethiopian students since 2007, according to the university and the Taiwanese institution and BDU have been partner universities since 2011. Currently, more than 30 Ethiopian alumni have secured teaching positions at BDU after returning home, helping to strengthen the relationship between BDU and NTUST. Bahir Dar University is among the largest universities in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, with more than 52,830 students and 219 academic programs.
