In a gazette notice dated February 4, Mr Macharia named six new people to the board of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA). In the notice, Mr Macharia listed John Ndege Obwocha, Catherine Njeri Waweru, Alice Chepchumba Chesire and Francis Kiriinya under the CS’s appointees. “They will [serve] for three years, with effect from February 4, 2019,” Mr Macharia said. MATIANG'I VISITOn January 21, President Uhuru Kenyatta issued an executive order moving the NTSA from the Transport ministry to the Interior ministry.
