The Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has announced a major recruitment drive to appoint 67,208 teachers and lecturers to MPO-listed private educational institutions across Bangladesh. Applications will open on Saturday and remain available until midnight on Jan 17, according to the NTRCA website on Tuesday. NTRCA said the validity of a teacher registration certificate is three years from the date of publication of the registration exam results. In line with directives from the Ministry of Education, teachers already working in MPO-listed institutions will not be eligible to apply for the same positions. The government’s Monthly Pay Order (MPO) policy for private schools and colleges has introduced several changes, including provisions to bring Bachelor’s (Honours) and Master’s-level teachers under the scheme, alongside revised criteria for institutions seeking MPO eligibility.
