NTI commences training of 3,700 teachers nationwide


THE National Teachers Institute (NTI) has commenced the training of 3,700 teachers nationwide as part of its efforts to improve the quality of teacher education in our schools. To this end, the Insititute has vowed that it will not leave any stone unturned to help the federal government to achieve this lofty desire. This was contained in a statement issued to Tribuneonline and signed by the DG of NTI, Professor Garba Dahuwa Azare in Kaduna on Tuesday. In his remarks, the Chairman NTI Governing Council, Sen. Kaka Mallam Yale, who was represented by a member of the Council and a director in the federal ministry of education, Mr Jonathan Mbaakaa said the programme was aimed at improving the quality of the teaching in the country. No fewer than 100 teachers from each state and FCT are expected to participate in the training nationwide in the first part of the programme.
