NT stabbing death of French tourist 'random and obscure', police say

The stabbing death of a French tourist in the Northern Territory was random and obscure, police say, as the man accused of the killing remains in hospital under police guard. Pande Veleski, who was allegedly found naked in the bush, was taken into custody on Thursday after the stabbing death of 33-year-old Frenchman Philippe Jegouzo the previous afternoon. Veleski is yet to be interviewed or charged but there are growing indications he has mental health issues.
