Nasarawa State Governor, Abdulahi Sule, on Thursday received the state’s athletes and their coaches who participated at the 20th National Sports Festival in Benin City, Edo State, The PUNCH reports. The reception was held at the Conference Hall, Government House, Lafia according to a statement signed by Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development Public Relations Officer, Eche Amos. Team Nasarawa finished 18th at the NSF with four gold, three silver and 12 bronze medals. Sule gave N1m each to the gold medalists, N750,000 to silver medalists and N500,000 to bronze medalists. The governor also rewarded Tularam Mamman, a wrestler who won gold, with $1000, adding that his integrity won his heart.
