NSCDC in Niger arrest three suspected Cable Vandals with some exhibits


NIGER State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), have arrested three suspected cable Vandals in Bosso local government of the state. Ibrahim Yahaya further disclosed that the suspects were arrested with some exhibits such as 1,200 meters of telecommunications armoured cable, two pieces of diggers and two galvanised steel which they were allegedly using to perpetuate the crime. He said the three suspects have all confessed to the crime during the investigation conducted by Officers and Men of the Corps at the state Command headquarters, Tunga, Minna, the state capital. “They also confessed that they were also involved in the vandalisation of some cables belonging to the moribund NITEL while they all agreed to the crime but pleaded for clemency,” said Ibrahim Yahaya. He however assured that upon completion of the investigation of the matter, that the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
