The Gold Coast have wasted no time in finding their replacement for Greg Bird, signing Melbourne second-rower Kevin Proctor to a four-year NRL deal. "We've had some experienced players depart but Kevin will help fill that void," Titans coach Neil Henry said. Proctor, 27, debuted with Melbourne in 2008, and has gone on to play 179 games for the club. Despite being born in New Zealand, Proctor and his partner, Leesa, grew up on the Gold Coast, prompting the move. "This is a great opportunity to return home to the Gold Coast with my young family to be closer to all of our family," Proctor said.
