And that is where NPP will remain in opposition for the next 30 years because of the 24-hour economy. Parliament has approved the 24-Hour Economy Authority Bill, 2025, creating the 24-Hour Economy Authority to accelerate Ghana’s economic transformation. The bill establishes the legal and regulatory framework for formalising the 24-hour economy, enabling the Authority to implement the government’s 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme, aimed at increasing productivity and fostering inclusive growth.
