LUCENA CITY –– The national spokesman of the communist New People’s Army (NPA) dared President Duterte to make good his stand and terminate all one-sided treaties with the United States. ADVERTISEMENTMadlos expressed confidence that when the President ends all military pacts with the US, it would hasten the victory of the communist insurgents against the government. However, Madlos himself expressed doubts that Mr. Duterte or any other president would have the courage to abrogate all military pacts with the American government. He accused Duterte of peddling lies and deceit with his stance against the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) with the US. Madlos expected that another form of the military treaty would replace the VFA once it is finally abrogated.
