But life does go on, lately with more anger and passion than ever, as the Venezuelan people clamour for desperately needed regime change. Guaidó tested how committed the military was to Maduro this week. Guaidó released a video calling on the military to switch sides and remove the regime. During the violence this week, Venezuelan troops and police fired live ammunition into crowds of protestors. There seems little more that we can do now, except to bear witness to the human-rights crimes of the Maduro regime, and to stand ready to assist Venezuelans in rebuilding their economy and lives once he is gone.
