Somsakul Phaochindamuk, director of NOW26, Nation Multimedia Group’s digital TV channel for variety programmes, said the station had seen consistent rises in the number of viewers throughout the past three years thanks to its improved variety programmes and its intention to be the country’s No 1 documentary channel. “Our channel has seen diverse viewers extending from families to working-age people, and viewers in other provinces who know us from our sports broadcasts during holidays,” he said. NOW26’s rating is 0.225 for January, up from 0.096 in the same month last year, when it was ranked 15th among the country’s digital TV channels. Its rating growth is the highest among its rivals at 134 per cent.
