In accord with Chapters 120 and 190, Florida Statutes, the District hereby gives the public notice of its intent to adopt its proposed Rules of Procedure. The purpose and effect of the proposed Rules of Procedure is to provide for efficient and effective District operations and to ensure compliance with recent changes to Florida law. Specific legal authority for the adoption of the proposed Rules of Procedure includes Sections 190.011(5), 190.011(15) and 190.035, Florida Statutes (2023). This public hearing may be continued to a date, time, and place specified on the record at the hearing without additional notice. At the hearing, staff or Supervisors may participate in the public hearing by speaker telephone.
