The National Oil Corporation (NOC) called on Khalif Haftar to fulfill his obligations regarding the release of the head of the Oil Workers' Union, Saad al-Fakhri and to secure his safe return to his family. The NOC emphasized in a statement Thursday its rejection to all forms of violence, abduction, and arbitrary detention, stressing the need to spare the oil sector all military and political conflicts. Al-Fakhri was kidnapped by Haftar-linked gunmen, near his home in the town of Slouk near Benghazi late last April.
