NMS Deputy Director of Medical Services Musa Mohammed has been released on a cash bail of Sh200, 000 or a bond of Sh500, 000 in a child trafficking caseMohammed was on Wednesday charged with two counts of child trafficking. Mohammed Ramadhan who appeared in court in a wheelchair is accused of conspiring with Fred Makallah and Selina Awour, all social workers at Mama Lucy Hospital, to traffic persons at Mama Lucy Hospital between March 1 and November 16, 2020, at the Mama Lucy Hospital. Makallah who faces a total of five counts has been released on a Sh1 million cash bail or a bond of Sh2 million. Awuor was released on a cash bail of Sh200, 000 or a bond of Sh500, 000Mohammed was charged with a second count that together with Awour, knowing that Makallah designed to traffic children out the hospital, failed to use all reasonable cause to prevent the trafficking of the children. He was to plead to the charges on Monday but sent his lawyer who told the court that he is sick and was admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital.
