Wayne Jackson, acting chief executive of NorthTec, has been appointed acting chief executive of Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT). The acting chief executive of Northland Polytechnic, Wayne Jackson, has been named interim head of Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT). Jackson will become NMIT's acting chief executive on August 31, taking the reins from Liam Sloan, who leaves for a position at Federation University in Melbourne on August 28. Jackson was chief executive officer of professional services network, Grant Thornton NZ, and a partner with Ernst and Young NZ for 19 years, as well as a director of its business advisory practice.
