NLA meeting brought forward tomorrow

Earlier, NLA President Pornpetch Wichitcholchai had instructed NLA members to be on 24-hour standby for the “special” meeting on Tuesday, Noppadon said. On Friday, Pornpetch confirmed that the government had requested that the assembly convene the special meeting, explaining that meetings held outside the normal schedule are “special”. However, the NLA president said the government has at this point only called on the assembly to convene the meeting, without informing them what it would be about. Noppadon said the NLA whips’ meeting would normally be “closed”, under which its members are called on to attend. If there were any calls for a “special” meeting among NLA members related to monarchy issues, it would be a full meeting of all 250 NLA members like one held on October 13.
