National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Thanjavur (NIFTEM-T) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with eight universities to enhance academic excellence and entrepreneurship of students. MoU was signed with Dr. YSR Horticultural University, Andhra Pradesh and seven other universities of Karnataka. This collaboration focuses on bringing one-stop solutions to existing food processing industries with technical support and enabling budding entrepreneurs to start new ventures or diversify their activities to take advantage of new business opportunities in the food processing sector. A press release from NIFTEM-Thanjavur said V. Palanimuthu, Director of NIFTEM-T and Registrars/Vice-Chancellors of the eight universities signed the MoU. NIFTEM-T is a leading research and educational institute under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India.
