The story of her transformation was among the ones that rivetted prospective donors at the Kolkata Gives Annual Philanthropy Event, held in association with The Telegraph on Sunday. Fifteen NGOs showcased their work before prospective donors at the event. Some of the other NGOs that took part in the fifth edition of the philanthropy event work in the fields of women's empowerment, health care and education. The organisers, Kolkata Gives, provided the sets for the audio-visual presentations by the NGOs in front of 500-odd prospective donors.
