Bertrand said the transparency of digital art has resulted in minority artists being able to sell their work in a new way. “These platforms provide a place where diverse artists and collectors can collide without the gatekeepers regulating what the collectors see,” she said. “We live in a world where many of the people who can afford to buy art don’t appreciate Black art,” Nevins said “At the same time, many of the people who are curating what collectors see also don’t appreciate Black art.
