For all of the excitement the NFL generated with last weekend’s Divisional Round of the playoffs, the league still drew 23 million fewer viewers than it did a season ago. In fact, every single game played during the divisional round represented a decline in ratings. NBC's 'NFL Sunday Night Football' was the most-watched program in prime time, with 18.2 million viewers this past season. That figure is down from 20.3 million viewers in 2016 and 22.5 million in 2015. He might have a point as college football ratings have been particularly strong during bowl season.
