Folk reportedly worked out for the Pats on Friday. The 35-year-old veteran of 12 NFL seasons and four teams replaces Kai Forbath, whom the team scrambled to sign late last week for New England’s Sunday game a Houston, after cutting the hospitalized Folk. Folk in Week 9 had replaced the 37-year-old Mike Nugent, who in Week 5 had replaced long-time Pats kicker Stephen Gostkowski after the latter went on injured reserve. Folk is expected to kick Sunday afternoon against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs. Gostkowski in 2005 replaced Adam Vinatieri, who ever since has kicked for the Indianapolis Colts.
