As all 32 teams have descended upon Indianapolis for the annual NFL Scouting Combine, this is best time to get caught up in how the process works, and how scouting is a non-stop, 24 hours per day, 365-day-per year function. One thing they will not learn in Indianapolis at the Scouting Combine is how well the players perform at their respective positions. Game scouting is still a very important tool when it comes to evaluating college players. The scouting combine is just another piece of the puzzle, and teams will get answers on a player’s physical condition, height, weight, and personality. The Combine is not the final determinant when it come to predicting success at the NFL level.
