On March 2, the team spotted around 70 unique right whales in one day: the highest number of right whales photographed by the Anderson Cabot team in a single day near Nantucket Shoals in 15 years. How to identify right whalesThe aquarium noted that right whales can be identified through unique markings on their heads called "callosities."
