NDMA provides relief items, medical equipment to GB


Share:ISLAMABAD - The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Thursday provided relief items and critical medical equipment to Gilgit-Baltistan after the damages caused by torrential rains and land sliding incidents. According to a NDMA statement, relief goods have been provided to Gilgit-Baltistan by the federal government/NDMA in view of the damage caused by the recent heavy monsoon rains and landslides. The statement said that besides delivering relief goods to the victims through helicopter, a free medical campus has also been set up in collaboration with Pakistan Army. It said critical medical equipment has already been provided to Gilgit-Baltistan in view of the rise in coronavirus cases. The equipment included 4 digital X-ray machines, 10 ICU ventilators, 20 bi-pipe ventilators, 10 oxygen concentrators, 1000 oxygen cylinders, 25,000 rapid testing kits and 20 plus oximeters.
