Share TweetBy MB OnlineThe Negotiating Panel of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) has confirmed receipt of the Philippine government’s (GRP) Suspension of Offensive Military Operations (SOMO) and Suspension of Offensive Police Operations (SOPO) on Thursday. In statement released by NDFP, it confirmed the receipt of the SOMO issued by the Chief of Staff Armed forces of the Philippines (CSAFP) dated on December 24, 2019 and the SOPO issued by the Officer-in-Charge, Philippine National Police (OIC, PNP) in compliance with the memorandum issued last December 23, 2019 by Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo M. Año. NDFP hopes that the unilateral and reciprocal ceasefires between the two parties will push through effectively. The GRP and the NDFP agreed to implement unilateral ceasefire which took effect on December 23 and will last until January 7, 2020.
