Mr Obeng has been accused of selling contaminated fuel to two unregistered companies leading to the loss of millions of cedis. According to Mr. Bawa, workers and engineers experienced in the field had advised Mr. Obeng on several occasions on the transactions but he paid deaf ears to their counsel. He added that the committee will need the workers at BOST to volunteer information as to what they know about the shady transaction. Mr. Bawa said further that the presence of the BOST manager during investigations will only make the workers feel uneasy and not cooperate with the committee. He then pointed out that the Minority will not accept findings of the committee if the BOST manager is not interdicted.
