Politics of Friday, 24 May 2024Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that it will soon present evidence to support the claims made by Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the ongoing ambulance procurement trial involving Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson. This announcement follows Jakpa's allegations in court on May 23, where he claimed that the Attorney General (AG) had repeatedly attempted to coerce him into falsely implicating the Minority Leader and former Deputy Finance Minister. In a recent interview on Eyewitness News, Felix Ofosu Kwakye, an aide to NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, emphasized the strength of the forthcoming evidence, describing it as more than just an allegation. We in the NDC are not in the business of throwing up empty claims. Just give us a few days into the early days of next week and we will put that evidence out, just as our chairman has said,” Ofosu Kwakye stated.
