Politics of Thursday, 6 June 2024Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the suspension of four of its executives for the Amenfi Central Constituency in the Western Region. A letter issued by the General Secretary of the party, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, said the executives are being suspended from the party for allegedly engaging in anti-party behaviour. The affected executives include Raphael Andoh Kwaw, Constituency Chairman; Richmond Aleke, Constituency Organizer; Grace Kwaw, Women’s Organizer; and Janet Fynn, Deputy Women’s Organizer. The party also summoned the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Amenfi Central, Peter Yaw Kwakye-Ackah, to appear before its Political Committee. The court order, presided over by Justice G. K. Gyan-Kontoh, also restrained the NDC, the second defendant, from recognizing or dealing with Joana Cudjoe Gyan as the duly elected NDC parliamentary candidate for the Amenfi Central Constituency.
