MANILA, Philippines — Computer shops and other establishments that allow students to play online games during class hours may face closure, Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director, warned on Thursday. This was after the NCRPO chief caught 12 senior high school students playing online games and using social media in a computer shop called Sandbox CyberCafe in West Rembo, Makati City. ADVERTISEMENTEleazar told reporters in an ambush interview in Makati City that these establishments are violating rules. Department of Education Order 86, series of 2010 bans students in public and private elementary and secondary schools from going to computer shops, malls, and theaters during class hours.
