On Tuesday, leaders and activists of the NCP visited the graves of those martyred in the mass uprising in Dhaka’s Rayer Bazar. They also paid tribute at Savar’s National Martyrs' Monument earlier in the morning as part of the first programme since the NCP was launched. “The suffering of those who sacrificed themselves and were injured can be alleviated to an extent through justice. This justice should serve as an example, so that fascism does not emerge again,” Nahid said. Nahid was at the forefront of the 36-day movement that ousted the Awami League regime and forced former prime minister Sheikh Hasina to flee to India.
