NCB nab 2 foreigners, seize drugs

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested a Tanzanian woman along with her Nigerian associate when they were exchanging a packet containing cocaine worth over Rs 40 crore at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International airport on Wednesday. According to the senior NCB officials, following a tip off, a tight vigil was being maintained when the Tanzanian woman, identified as Beatrice Kemmy Ndyetabula, arrived by a Go Air flight from Mumbai. "She was intercepted at the domestic arrival terminal around 2.45 pm, and was asked to cooperate for personal frisking and luggage scanning. She disclosed that she had arrived at Mumbai from Kenya and then travelled to Delhi to hand over the drugs to her associate, who was then supposed to deliver the consignment near Dwarka Mod metro station," said a senior NCB officer. The officer added that following questioning of the woman, a man, to whom she was to hand over the drugs, later identified as Augustin, was also arrested.
