The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested three persons including two women from Kashmir who were allegedly running a hashish (charas) racket. NCB has seized ‘top quality’ hashish weighing 43.7 kilograms. NCB sources stated that the contraband was being smuggled into the city and arrests were made based on intelligence. NCB sources stated that the women would to hand-over the contraband to Sajad, who was responsible for circulating the drug in the city. Investigations revealed that the seized hashish is of a good quality that would cost Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 per 10 gram.
