The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has reaffirmed its commitment to the implementation of a simplified certification process for obtaining approvals and permits by airlines in the country. Speaking at the weekend in Lagos, the Acting Director General of NCAA, Captain Chris Najomo said the Agency is intensifying efforts to ensure a transition into a digitalised process of certification for airlines in Nigeria. The acting DG also said the Agency is seeking ISO 9001 certification with the aim of upgrading standards in the Aviation sector. Najomo further stated that the certification of ISO 9001 in the Aviation industry in Nigeria would highlight the NCAA’s robust quality management system. “This surveillance which encompasses safety, security and economic monitoring will be extended to all service providers” the acting DG stated.
