Mark Robinson is suing CNN for defamation after they published an article saying he made sexual and racist remarks on a pornographic message board, his campaign announced Tuesday. It seeks to amend the “reputational harm that has been done to lieutenant governor Robinson's good name,” said Jesse Binnall, partner at the Binnall Law Group. The lawsuit says the information used by CNN to connect Robinson to the account was not secure. Any person could have purchased and/or used Lt. Gov. Robinson said he’s still campaigning and anticipates “winning this election despite this attack.”In response to whether the lawsuit has dampened Robinson’s campaign finances, he said no.
