NBR to probe tax evasion allegations against Dr Kamalbdnews24.com :Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, the chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), said the body will look into the tax evasion allegations against Dr Kamal Hossain, a top leader of the newly-formed Jatiya Oikyafront. The NBR will look into the allegation in such a way that it has no impact on the 11th parliamentary election, he said. The anti-graft watchdog had sent a letter to Kamal Hossain, who is also the president of Gano Forum, asking him to answer question on tax evasion on Nov 19. We are working on the investigation and a little time is needed, said NBR Chairman Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan at amedia briefing in Dhaka on Sunday. Kamal Hossain is not running as a candidate but his new anti-government alliance with the BNP will compete in the election.
