Cam Gliddon scored 12 points and picked up four rebounds for the Rams in Launceston. The Canterbury Rams have missed the chance to put pressure on the Hawks and Saints at the top of the NBL ladder after a 72-68 loss to the Southern Huskies in Launceston. The Huskies were inspired by Tre Nichols, who grabbed 25 points for the home side on Saturday. The result means the Huskies narrow the gap to the Rams in the top four, although they have played one game more. The Hawks play the struggling Manawatū Jets in Napier on Sunday, while the Rams will meet the Huskies in the reverse fixture in Christchurch next Friday.
