The body of Msando was on Monday found at City Mortuary in Nairobi, a day after he was reported missing. He called on the government to provide adequate security to senior IEBC officials for credible elections. The late has been described as a knowledgeable person, humble and charismatic by his colleagues. His vehicle had earlier been found abandoned in Roysambu, Nairobi.
