NASA captures STUNNING timelapse of sunset from the International Space Station

The ISS travels over our planet at a speed of roughly 17,150mph, meaning it orbits Earth around 16 times every day. So while we only see the sun set once a day from Earth, astronauts on board the space station are treated to 16 sunsets a day! During a recent orbit, astronauts from NASA ’s Expedition 59 shot a stunning time-lapse of a sunset from the ISS. (Image: NASA)NASA tweeted the video, and explained: “The space station is the perfect place to view a sunset. If you want to see the ISS for yourself, make sure you visit NASA’s Live Space Station Tracking Map , which shows where the ISS is now, and where it will be in the next 90 minutes.
