ISLAMABAD: National Action Plan (NAP) for the Implementation of Bangkok Principles on Health Aspects of Sendai Framework of Disaster Risk Reduction was launched here Tuesday. He assured that NDMA and National Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (NHEPRN) would closely work to mobilise resources for the implementation of the plan through various funding sources, including Annual Development Programme. He also invited the donor agencies to be part of implementing this plan and promoting concept of mainstreaming DRR in the health sector. The plan had been formulated with technical support of a consultancy firm, namely Network for Disaster Management Professionals (NDMP). The participants were briefed on strategic priority areas and key proposed interventions with a commitment to strengthen the existing facilities across the country to effectively respond to various health emergencies.
