NADDC trains youths in Bauchi on tricycles, motorcycles’ repair


OVER 94 roadside mechanics in Bauchi have been trained on how to properly repair and fix modern tricycles and motorcycles by the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) in Collaboration SIMBA Motorcycles Company. He also said that similar training has been held in Sokoto, Kebbi and Katsina states where over 5, 000 people were trained. Also speaking, the Vice Chancellor of ATBU, Professor Saminu Abdulrahman Ibrahim represented by the Dean, Faculty of Technology Education, Professor Abubakar Sadiq Bappa commended NADDC for the gesture urging the trainees to make good use of the knowledge acquired and also teach others. He said the training was timely considering the fact that most vehicles are now becoming more electronic and modernised and sought for more partnerships between NADDC and the school in the area of training saying such skills acquisitions improve technological developments. While responding on behalf of the participants, the Bauchi State Chairman of the Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) Alhaji Bello Babakarami lauded NADDC, SIMBA and ATBU for training his members and appealed that the program is extended to the 20 local governments of the state so that more people would benefit from it.
