KUANTAN: Upon noticing the arrival of National Anti-Drugs Agency (Nada) enforcement officers at his house doorstep in Balok here on Saturday, a transvestite locked himself inside and refused to open the door. Only when the enforcement team warned they will not hesitate to use an iron cutter to cut the padlock, the 35-year-old adhered their instructions and reluctantly opened the door. When the man, who works as a tailor, was tested positive for syabu, he told the Nada team he started consuming the drugs several months ago to overcome stress. Meanwhile, State Nada enforcement and safety assistant director Rizal Seaat said 40 officers participated in the operation between 9am and 11pm following several days of surveillance. He said Nada raided several hot spots known for drug menace in Sungai Ular, Cherating, Balok, Chendor and Beserah, and they welcome information from the public to assist the agency.
