NAB regional chiefs told to hear public complaintsJustice Iqbal also sought a report on whether the complainants were told that their complaints were successfully received and work is in progress on them. In case of failure to issue receipts, the regional bureaus have been directed by the NAB chief to determine which officer or official was responsible. “Such officers have no place in NAB,” Justice Iqbal was quoted as saying by a statement issued by NAB on Wednesday. In this regard, the NAB chief said that they had already devised a mechanism to listen to the public’s complaints related to corruption on the last Thursday of every month. So much so, Justice Iqbal said that he himself was listening to peoples’ complaints for the past two months at the NAB Headquarters in Islamabad.
