ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Thursday passed a unanimous resolution condemning the United States’ decision to recognise Jerusalem as the so-called capital of Israel and to move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. The resolution termed it a direct attack on the Muslim Ummah at a time when the Middle East is already beset with wars and conflicts. The National Assembly also demanded the United States to immediately take back its decision. He said that his decision marked the start of a new approach to solving the thorny conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. Trump’s predecessors – from Bill Clinton to George Bush – made similar promises on the campaign trail but quickly reneged upon taking office.
