The committee advised the administration that after revision of laws a briefing on it should be prepared for the meeting of the committee. The committee directed that all laws and rules relating to roads should be revised extensively. The committee directed the PWD to submit its report in this regard. Moreover, PWD officials, including the director general, were directed to attend next meeting of the panel to explain the poor performance. The remaining four recommendations, officials explained, were in the process of implementation.
