The sum of N45m will be on offer as the total prize money at the 2019 Okpekpe International 10km Road Race in Okpekpe, Edo State, on May 25. Pamodzi Sports Marketing, organisers of the race, announced the unchanged prize money on the event’s website www.okpekperoadrace.com. The organisers also announced unchanged prize money for Nigerian runners at the race. Spokesman for the race, Dare Esan, said payment of prize money and bonuses was dependent upon athletes clearing the usual anti-doping procedures. ‘’Athletes running for the prize money on offer must also achieve a level of performance before they can redeem their respective prizes.
