A sudden explosion of violence broke out in the town on Sunday, after Mexican soldiers found and killed the Jalisco New Generation Cartel’s leader. Meghan Mahoney and her husband have spent the last week vacationing in Puerto Vallarta. Now, the airport has been closed following an eruption of violence in the resort town. Meghan Mahoney says she hopes everyone stays safe and that she and her husband can travel home shortly.
