The GIINMore evidence pointing to the potential for impact investors to make healthy returns from their investments. The Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) just came out with a report reviewing available research on the financial performance of impact investments. “There’s a persistent myth that impact investing automatically necessitates a trade-off in financial performance,” says GIIN Research Director Abhilash Mudaliar. Depending on market type and target returns, investors reported average gross returns expectations ranging from 4.9% to 16.5% for 2016 vintage equity investments. In fact, the GIIN’s annual impact investing survey shows a slight uptick in public equity investments in portfolios.
